My name is Patrick, I am a drawing mole. Originally from Rochester in Kent, 30 miles south east of London, after much wandering I now live in the Suffolk village of Ixworth, with my beautiful wife, and a handsome spaniel. I have always drawn, having a working background in engineering design and technical illustration.
All drawings are based on my own sketches and references, if I've drawn it I have been there. American painter Edward Hopper is a major influence, as are the films of Alfred Hitchcock and Film Noir. I have exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Mall Galleries and the Turner Contemporary. Awards include the 'President's Award' at the UK Coloured Pencil Society Open Exhibition, and 'Best In Show' (Colour) at the Society of Graphic Fine Art Open Exhibition. I was featured in the February 2020 issue of Artists and Illustrators Magazine, and the April 2023 issue of The Artist Magazine. I have also appeared on Sky Landscape Artist Of The Year (Season 7).
