Despite some truly tempestuous weather (mostly on Saturday), we had an great time at the Windsor Contemporary Art Fair at the weekend. Thank you to everyone that came to the stand and particularly to those that bought pictures. If anyone would still like to buy a print or an original drawing please feel free to get in touch, my email is email@example.com . Here's a picture of the stand just after set up.
After the good time I had at the last art fair I did at Sandown racecourse earlier this year, I'm doing another, this time at Windsor racecourse, organised (very well) by the same team. Private view is on Friday 9th evening 6-9pm, if you would like a free invite, just ask (email me at firstname.lastname@example.org). As you can see the organisers have very kindly used a picture of mine on the back of the Private View invite! That's 'Favourite Thing (Version 3)' in the corner, which was sold at Sandown. Further details of the fair below.
I have a few pictures in the 'Festival By The Sea' exhibition at the New Kent Gallery in Broadstairs, it starts on Tuesday 7th August for a couple of weeks to coincide with the Folk Week festival. Here's one of them, this is 'Vampires and Failures', which is another of my many pictures of Salem, Massachusetts, the blood red sky was an experiment, but I quite like how it turned out!
I now have a Facebook page for the art stuff as well as this and Instagram, so getting all bases covered on the Social Media front! I've posted in various places this new version of Footsteps -
So I have a second solo show at the New Kent Art Gallery in Broadstairs next week, just a short one this time, running form Tuesday to Sunday (13th-18th March). It'll be a mix of new stuff, old stuff, and a couple of experiments, like this blackbird.
Just home from Surrey Contemporary Art Fair, it went really well, we met lots of very nice people.
For anyone who might want to buy an original picture or print they saw at the show, or anyone who would like to commission a drawing, please email me at email@example.com and we'll sort out costs and other details. I'll attempt to set up a shop for selling prints etc. in the very near future so all this can be done easily.
Thanks to everyone who came to the stand and everyone that bought things!
So Im doing this at the weekend! If anyone wants to go drop me an email ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) as I have a bunch of free tickets.
So for the second year in a row I have made the shortlist for Artist And Illustrators Magazine Artist of the Year. There is a public vote here. My selected picture is 'Tim' which is not new but very happy for it to get picked as I'd previously entered it into the Royal Academy and it didn't make the cut! Here's a detail view from it. There's a Short List Exhibition at the Mall Gallery in London next February. (Details here)
So I had a picture in the Jon Bird Open at the Fishslab Gallery in Whitstable, it was the Indian restaurant picture 'My Little Problem', which is on the same street as the Fishslab! That was a very short show, already finished in fact. In the meantime I got a bit of press coverage in local magazine The Broadie, along with my good friends at the New Kent Gallery, page shown here.
Post exhibition updates - new pictures added, 'Hide N Seekin', which is also the home page image and 'Good Day Version 4'. I've also added to the captions which pictures have been sold.
